NC&TC Spring training camp at HOTEL RIZ, Cesenatico, Italy. 15th – 22nd April,

Once  again we are returning to the eastern coastal town of CESENATICO, ITALY for our annual cycling trip. We will be meeting up with our friends from Kings Lynn CC and Team Velovelocity making us a sizeable group of around 30.  Just as a heads up, the 15^th April when we fly out is Easter Saturday, so you may only use 4 days holiday.

Although some would refer to this as a ‘Training Camp’, it’s more like a ‘Cycling Holiday with your own Club members’.

You don’t have to be a fast rider, you don’t have to be an experienced rider, this trip is for everyone, all you need to be able to cope with is a 40 mile ride in a group environment which will include a coffee stop as well.

Booking

The Hotel  doesn’t ask for any deposit or forward payment and as such the only way I can do this is for you to book your flights then upon seeing your flight confirmation I will confirm your room.

Flights

I expect to use Ryanair flights to Ancona as this year but their flight schedule for April is not usually released until the preceding Autumn so will confirm details then.

To give you an idea flight costs this year ranged from around £85 to £160 depending on when you book and how much baggage you check on board.

The Hotel receptionist will print your boarding pass for the return flight.

Transfer

There will be a coach awaiting our arrival in Italy to take us to the Riz, the cost of this depends a little on how many people are on the coach but it’s usually around 40 Euro’s per person for the return trip.

Payment

The only element you have to pay before you go is your own flight, initially just book your seat then add any luggage on just before you go.

The hotel runs a ‘no cash’ system where everything is booked to your room number, whether it be your bar tab, Hotel cycling kit purchases, massage, transfer, trips etc.

Everything  is paid for when you check-out

Summary

The Riz Hotel has a ‘good concept’ here and as such is very popular.

The Hotel will be fully booked by Xmas and then ‘buys’ rooms from the neighboring hotels, so to make sure you are staying in the main hotel it’s important to book early.

If you do find yourself sleeping in another Hotel, your meals and everything else will still be at the Riz ( its not happened to us so far)

I have a number of rooms reserved for NC&TC and once taken can request more if that request is made early enough.

During the period end of January to 3^rd week in May the Hotel is 100% full with cyclists and as such everything is geared around the cyclist.

Come the 4^th week in May the Hotel reverts back to a typical beach resort Hotel, no more cyclists.
